Hello there!
Welcome to my blog! My name is Lisa, I have lived on 4 continents and moved to Cape Town South Africa, in Oct 2010! It has been the most refreshing, and mind expanding experience so far - I am loving Cape Town!
Moving to a new city, country, or continent has many benefits.... beside the opportunity to experience vibrant cultures, smell the spices in the air and taste the complex flavours of all fruits of nature, my favourite aspect is without a doubt, to hear the stories from the locals!!
I live life to the fullest, every new adventure is a memory for my rocking chair....! Traveling is a passion and a lifestyle I can't imagine not having. During my "free" times, you will be sure to find me exploring the colorful neighborhoods in Cape Town, hitting up concerts / cultural events / festivals, and just having a blast~

The alarm starts beeping away annoyingly at 7:30am sharp in the morning, you wake up, cold and unwilling to leave the warmth of your bed…. Still recovering from the weekend, you seriously question why you partied so hard over the weekend.
As you sluggishly pull yourself out of bed, you are pretty sure to be suffering from Monday morning blues! The week ahead just seems so long, endless meetings, calls, WORK…. AAAGGGH!
What’s the best way to chase away your Monday blues?
TheatreSports never fails me! That combined with the WiCount 2for1 ticket deal (R50 for 2 tix! Score!), I invited my Canadian Couchsurfer, Chris Solaczek along for some good laughs!
The ever-so-cozy Intimate Theatre on 37 Orange St surely has its charm! Past roduction posters line the walls from top to bottom, even the ceiling! Love the vibe & great drink specials, where else will you get R10 Sherry?
Just before the show, Chris & I were invited to be one of the THREE Judging team for the evening! *Drumroll…..* the WACKY BANANAS!! Don’t ask how we came up with that one!
Performers for the night were simply fantastic! We had the Fluff-iRabbits & Lolly Johnnies battling for the highest Scorecards! I still didn’t quite get how Fluff-iRabbits scored 144926 points in 3 rounds…. ;)
GREAT laughs for the evening, we had everything from Zombie Western Cowboys robbing a bank to Moon Rat Discovery replayed in 4 emotions (Whimsical, Constipated, Nervous, HIGH) to 4000 years old High priest living in caves off life-extending algaes! AWESOME improv comedy, especially when the audience get to choose the Style, Emotions, Characters & pretty much all categories of the show!
Honestly, you have NOT been to Cape Town without going to ONE TheatreSports show on Monday, only R50/person or R40/student!
Another great night out in Cape Town!
